My training philosophy for myself has always been to do things that make me happy. I think that if you do something that makes you happy, you will actually fit it into your schedule, you will enjoy it and you will get the most out of it. I soon realized this is true for everything in life. I had much more fun in life and in fitness. I felt better, did more and loved it. I base my training sessions on this philosophy because I want to help people enjoy the feeling of being healthy and happy. I help you find what you enjoy doing and work from that. I help you find you “Active Balance” of weight training, cardio, nutrition and enjoying what you are doing. :)

Why Train with Mandy:
1. Teaching you proper form - It is better to do 10 perfect push-ups that it is to do 100 no-so-great ones. Not only will it help prevent injury but it will better challenge the muscles being used. I will teach you your perfect push-up and how to make it more challenging when you advance. 2. Customized training sessions - I will teach you “your” perfect workout. It is very important that you work at your own fitness level and do thing appropriate for your body. I am also a Chiropractor, so I can really help find what works best for you. 3. Motivation – I will teach you how to motivate yourself to do your workout and to know that it is ok if you miss a workout or eat a “bad” meal. There is always tomorrow!! :) 4. Teaching you nutrition – Everyone knows that fruits and veggies are good for us and that fast food is not. The hard part is prepping the foods at home and making healthy choices at a restaurant. I will teach you how to do that, even on an evening out with friends!! 5. Teaching you convenience of training – Developing good fitness and nutrition habits may take a few weeks to get used to, but once you get the hang of it, it is EASY!! I will teach you the shortcuts I have learned through the years to prep your food for the week, make a healthy meal for your family, even clean out the kitchen and start over if necessary. 6. Teaching you how to track your progress – It is very important to keep track of your workouts and meals, especially at the beginning. This way you can see your progress and how much better you are getting at what you are doing. I will teach you a quick and easy way to keep track that isn’t like writing your own book. :) 7. Teaching the art of health – I will teach you how to do all of this on your own. I don’t believe that anyone needs a personal trainer for the rest of their lives. I think a true trainer should educate their clients so that they can do it on their own and teach their families how to do it as well. I will teach you how to workout at home or on the beach, how to spice up your workout at the gym and even how to enjoy your rest days. Training can start out 3-4 times a week and work its way down to 1 day a week. Then when you really get it, it can be once a month. I am always here for a refresher course or a good kick-butt workout when you need one. :):)
